Homemade Corn Dogs

Elder Millburn and I have been on a quest to become expert cooks. We have done lots of awesome recipes so far! Then one day I got the thought, "Let's make homemade corn dogs!!!" My immediate thought was to just buy "Jiffy" corn bread mix and hot dogs and deep fry them, how hard can it be!!? Haha ummmmmmmmm...yeah...harder than that!! We made the batter, then dipped the hot dogs in the batter, so far so good...Then we put it in the pan to deep fry it...ummmm let's just say it didn't really come out quite like a corn dog!

This is what the first 2 looked like...a pile of deep fried corn bread, and 2 hot dogs. Haha it all slid right off the hot dog!! 

So we tried again...

SUCCESS!!!! Haha well kind of. It looked a lot better this time than the first one. We figured out the oil wasn't as hot as it needed to be. 

Later on I realized it would work a lot better if they were dipped instead of laid in the pan, buuuut...we don't have anything deep enough, and we don't have enough oil for that, so we made due! haha
