The District 3: Parker Nation

Maybe you have seen an episode or two of  "The District." It's kind of a missionary reality show, and it's serious. Well, Elder Takis and his zone decided to do a not-so-serious version to show at a Christmas gathering for the missionaries wherein all the zones put together skits to share. Understand that the missionaries do take the work seriously, but everyone can do with some comic relief. Here is what he writes:

"This is the Parker-Zone 5 version of 'The District.' We made it for the Christmas Devotional. It's super funny! Hopefully it works. If not, I'll be pretty upset! Two elders spent two whole P-days making it into video form so we could put it onto a disc. Hopefully you guys get a kick out of it. Some of the things would be funnier to you if you understood some of the personalities of some of the elders and sisters in the zone. Like Elder Hawton's scene; no, he doesn't stand in front of the mirror and talk to himself like he does in the video. But the things that he says are real "Hawton Quotes." I love Elder Hawton. He says the funniest things! And the scene of Elders Shelley and Dennis, oh, man! That's really what it's like! He calls all the time! If you don't answer the phone he calls until you do! It's actually super funny! I love Shelley and Dennis! Some of the scenes are completely fake. We just did them to be funny. But all in all it's an awesome video. Some of the door approaches we could actually do. Well, minus the one me and Elder Sekona do. That chases the spirit away pretty quick! But it was super fun to do for the video....

"So at the end of the video there will be a bunch of hashtags. Some of them are real, but some of them we made up to be funny. And the quote by President Mendenhall is a real quote of him. I have no idea what it means, but it's pretty funny. Nobody knows what it means!

"Hope you enjoy the video!"
