REALLY Good Week!

6/27/16 Email:

Update on me! Things are going well! We actually had a REALLY good week! We got 19 lessons, and had a couple investigators at church! It felt good! We had a couple meetings that Elder Sekona and I needed to train at so that was good. I'm staying really busy, which really helps the time fly but keeps me focused. It gets harder to stay focused as you get closer and closer to the end. But I'm glad that I have this assignment, it's helping a lot!

We actually found a new investigator this last week! He's a pretty cool guy! He's in his late 50's is my guess. He loves cars and loves fixing them. And he's a big motorcyclist! And he's a UFC fighter! Haha he's really cool! The first time we met him he told us that normally he doesn't let missionaries talk to him, and that goes for any religion. But he said that for whatever reason he wanted to hear us out! He stopped going to really any church, but especially the Catholic church after some things that happened in the past. And he really hasn't had any desire to go to a church since. But we talked to him about the Restoration, and the Book of Mormon, and asked him to read 3 Nephi 11. We set a return appointment and left. We came back to teach him again and we followed up on his Book of Mormon reading. He told us that the other night he couldn't sleep so he went in his garage to tinker around with his cars. He saw the Book of Mormon lying on his table in the garage and decided to read from it!!! Not only did he read 3 Nephi 11, but he started to read all sorts of other chapters. He was skimming around in it finding things that he liked! He spent 15 mins telling us the chapters he read and the things he learned! It was AWESOME!!!! Miracles are real and it's incredible! :) We are hoping that he really takes a hold of the Gospel!!

Love you all and miss you!!

Elder Takis

This moth was right outside our apartment.
It's the biggest moth I've ever seen!

Look what I saw while driving on the freeway!

This was during companionship study time.
Elder Sekona tried to throw this case at me.
