"We are seeing so many miracles here!!!! Our area is just booming right now!! We picked up 5 new investigators 2 weeks ago! Several of them aren't too solid, but hey it was awesome!! We also are teaching Justine, a 19 year old girl. She is so legit!! Her friend Meredith, who is a member in our ward invited her to church several weeks ago and then our ward mission leader invited her to take the missionary discussions and she accepted!! So now we're teaching her and she's progressing like crazy!! We had one of the coolest experiences though regarding inviting her to be baptized. We decided that we needed to talk to Meredith and make sure she was comfortable with us asking her to be baptized so soon, it was only the 3rd lesson. Meredith was caught a little off guard and didn't think it would happen that fast. So we explained why we do it so soon and why we put people on date. She understood and then we told her to think about it and pray about it. Then next day she called us and still wasn't totally convinced we should ask Justine. We told her we would think about it and pray about it some more. It was interesting as we did so Elder Sekona and I split up after we prayed and read the scriptures to seek for an answer. The answer came pretty quickly through some verses we read. They were 3 Nephi 11:39-40. As I read that it reminded me of the scripture Helaman 5:12. I never thought of those scriptures used for baptism before but it made perfect sense! The scriptures were related to building our foundation on Christ. And I was like "WHOA!" And I knew we needed to use those scriptures to invite her. Then Elder Sekona showed me the scripture he found which was John 8:12 talking about Christ being the light that will guide us. It made perfect sense as well. We then called Meredith back up to explain what had just happened. She told us that she felt a lot better about it and thought it was funny because they talked about those things as they both read 3 Nephi 11. It's crazy how the spirit works!! ;) We invited her to be baptized that afternoon, and she accepted! But she wanted some time to think about it! Which is TOTALLY fine!! haha"
