That would have been pretty cool if you could've seen Sasquatch. Haha it's funny you should mention Sasquatch. Elder Sekona and I were actually talking about it and I asked him if he believed in it. He said he didn't...lame...I also told him that people believe he lives up L Canyon, he was like "NO WAY!? Have people actually seen it?" I told him that people claim to have seen him, but who knows!
Well this week was good. Steve came to church again this week and stayed the whole time again. The only bad thing was that he kept going outside to smoke...we had to politely let him know that there was no smoking on the church grounds. But it's okay, he's learning. We decided it's time to go over the Word of Wisdom with him, and hopefully commit him to quit smoking.
We started teaching this new guy named Mike. He is awesome!! He was being taught by the Elders in the Boulder stake, but when the Boulder stake became part of our mission we got the referral to teach him since he actually lives in Westminster in our ward! He's a baptism waiting to happen! He stated to us the first time we met him at his doorstep that he REALLY wants to be baptized but due to traveling for work he hasn't been able to set a date. Or come to church for that matter! But he said that he's trying to find church buildings wherever he travels to so he can go. The only problem is that he works during church hours wherever he goes! So we're working with him and trying to help him get baptized!
This is a picture of us with some Elders in the Boulder Zone. President Mendenhall is in this picture as well! President is to the right of Elder Sekona. Elder McGauley (who is headed home this Wednesday, he's wearing the orange shorts and yellow tank top) challenged President Mendenhall to a 3 on 3 basketball game a while back, and President promised him he would play. Well, this being Elder McGauley's last P-Day he decided to do it today! So President recruited Elder Sekona and myself to be on his team. Not sure why he wanted me, I can't play basketball!! But nonetheless he picked me. It was a REALLY fun P-Day especially since President played with us! And he's actually a REALLY good basketball player!!
Hope everyone is doing well! I miss you all a lot!!
Elder Takis
