So let's see, the first half was a pretty normal week, just preparing for Maddie's baptism! Which by the way went SUPER well!! She is as solid as a rock!! She was getting so many things thrown at her that for some would turn them away, but she stayed strong and knew she was making the right decision. I'll send pictures of the baptism. The scary part was Sunday for her confirmation. She texted us 30 mins before Sacrament meeting starts and asks us if she can move her confirmation to the following week because she got some stomach bug. After a few frantic texts and a phone call, we were able to convince her to attend at least Sacrament meeting. She ended up making it and so she was able to be confirmed!
Part of preparing her for her baptism was the privilege of going up to the Fort Collins Temple. All the missionaries had the opportunity to go up and see it if they had an investigator and a member to take them. So Maddie came with us and the Chin family in the ward drove us up. It was awesome!!! The Fort Collins Temple is beautiful!!
The other crazy part was the beginning of transfers. Thursday night we picked up the new Assistant that is replacing me. His name is Elder Olsen. He is awesome!! He and Elder Sekona are going to be great together!! So after picking up Elder Olsen, then began the fun adventure of starting transfers. Saturday night we were up till like 1:30am working on transfers, and then Sunday night we were up till 3:00am finishing everything. Well of course even when you think you have everything done there are still things that need adjusted. So this morning around 8:45 we double checked everything and found a few hiccups and had to make a few adjustments before we sent it to the missionaries via email.
The above picture was taken on Sunday. Haha poor Elder Olsen is passed out in the back seat...must have had a rough night! ;)
Also, Elder Sekona, President Mendenhall, Sister Mendenhall, and I all went to lunch with Rachel for her birthday.
So tomorrow I meet up with everyone who is going home around 11:00am and we head up to the Fort Collins Temple and I'm super excited to go and see it again! Then we come back and hang around at the mission home, have dinner, departing testimonies, and then it's a couple hours of sleep then we head to the airport.
I'm super excited to see you all!! I love you all so much!! See you at the airport!!
