Solid and Lame

This week was incredible!! Well, let's be honest, the last 6 weeks have been incredible!! And they've gone by incredibly fast!!!

We finalized Maddie's baptism so it's happening this Saturday!! PRAY FOR HER PLEASE!! She needs them!! And we found 2 new SOLID investigators! We were going by a part-member family in this apartment complex, and parked in front of a random apartment building. We got out of the truck and above us were these two guys that were grilling chicken. We started talking to them and then this girl walked out on the balcony. The girl proceeded to ask us, "Are you Mormons?" We replied that we were and she then walked into the apartment. I thought that she was miffed that the Mormons had showed up and went inside to hide, but no!! She started to come down the stairs! She walked over to us and said her name was Jeannine. She told us in VERY slow speech that she grew up in a foster home, and the foster family was Mormon. The family took her to Temple Square a long time ago and she thought it was the greatest thing ever! She said she almost got baptized but then didn't. She told us that she has wanted to get baptized since but hasn't had the chance to! So we set up a return appointment for the following day. We went by the next day and she was with one of the guys that was out BBQing. His name is Michael. Jeannine told us that she didn't think we were going to come by again, but she was super grateful that we did. She then told us that she was drunk the day before (we thought it was funny that she talked so slow the day before), but when we came by and talked to her, she committed that she was done drinking! We started to teach them and Michael became quickly intrigued by it all and really wants to learn more! Anyways to make a loooong story short, we are super excited to start teaching them!!!! Haha and of course I only have a week left to teach them...LAME!!!

Love you all!! Can't wait to see you! Just a week left!
